Seasonal Italian cooking. Good wine. Time together.

Pull up a chair. Stay a little longer.
Pasta rolled each morning. A glass poured with care. Plates made for passing around. At Lumen, the best part of dinner is having time to enjoy it.

For our chef and founder, Elena Rossi, Sunday lunch was never just about the food. It was the sound of another chair being pulled up, pasta rolled by hand and a table that always had room for one more. She opened Lumen to bring that feeling to the neighbourhood. After years in busy kitchens, she wanted a place where the cooking was thoughtful and the welcome felt personal. Today, Elena and her small team build the menu around what is good at the market. Fresh pasta, generous plates and time to sit together. That is what we opened for—and what brings us back to the kitchen each morning.

Our kitchen follows the market: tomatoes while the sun is warm, mushrooms as the days turn, citrus through the winter. We cook them simply and let their flavour lead. Begin with a few antipasti to share. Follow with handmade pasta. Leave a little room for dessert.

Antipasti for the table, fresh pasta and something sweet to finish. Explore our seasonal menu and wines by the glass.

A birthday around one long table. A family lunch that becomes an afternoon. A quiet dinner for two. There is room here for the moments you plan—and the ones you don’t.
