Start with the right artist-page structure
The Artist website template preview shows a focused way to begin. Its one-page format is useful for a visual artist, musician, band, photographer or multidisciplinary creator who wants one place for selected work, an introduction, dates and links. Treat the template as an editable foundation rather than a finished portfolio; the goal is to make each visit lead naturally to work, attendance or contact.
Before editing, decide what visitors should understand in a few seconds: what you make, where you are based or perform, what is current, and how they can follow or contact you. Choose a small set of representative pieces instead of crowding the page with everything. A coherent selection makes later updates easier and gives visitors a clear path to the next action.
- Primary goal: share a portfolio, announce a release, promote a date or provide contact details.
- Priority content: one concise introduction, a focused gallery, current dates and the clearest contact route.
- Secondary links: social profiles, tickets, streaming pages, downloads or external services you already use.
Create and edit the page step by step
Use a deliberate order: a short introduction, selected work, current dates, relevant links and contact options. This structure works for a portfolio, release page or announcement site while keeping the one-page format manageable. When the content is ready, publish the site and keep its address. QREasy hosts the editable website, so later edits can appear at the same address without creating a new page. Website access requires an internet connection.
If the Artist template’s visual direction does not suit a particular project, compare the other QREasy website templates before rebuilding. Whichever route you choose, keep the section order focused and remove anything that does not support a visitor’s next step.
- Choose and prepare: open the Artist creation flow, select the template and remove all fictional sample content.
- Introduce your work: add a Text section with your name, discipline and a short explanation of what visitors can find.
- Show and organize: use Gallery for selected visual work, Text for project context and Events for current dates.
- Connect: add Links, Social, Contact and Save Contact as appropriate, then remove sections that are not needed.
- Publish: preview the complete flow, test every link and publish the site to obtain its website address.
Understand Free and paid publishing options
QREasy’s plan comparison separates what can be published on Free from premium section types. Free websites can use Restaurant menu, Links, Products, Gallery, Text, Contact, Social, Save Contact and Events. For an artist, the most relevant Free tools are Text, Gallery, Events, Contact, Links, Social and Save Contact. A Free site can describe services and past work in ordinary Text and display photographs in Gallery.
That does not make the premium artist-oriented blocks part of Free. Publishing music, video, channels, downloads, CTA, image, premium gallery, service grid, FAQ or publication sections requires Lite SME or Business. The same restriction applies to credibility strips, locations, stats strips, before-and-after layouts, profiles, team grids, testimonials, process blocks and technology lists. Editorial layouts and image sliders also require a paid plan.
You can draft premium sections before upgrading, but they cannot be published on a Free website. If the design depends on a music block, richer editorial imagery or a formal profile, check the required plan before completing the layout. Lite SME and Business also differ in website, page, dynamic-QR and analytics allowances, so compare those limits with the number of pages and campaigns you expect to maintain.
- Free (EUR 0.00/month): one website, up to one page, one dynamic QR, unlimited static QR codes and seven days of analytics history.
- Lite SME: three websites, up to four pages each, 50 dynamic QR codes, unlimited static QR codes and 90 days of analytics history.
- Business: 33 websites, up to ten pages each, 357 dynamic QR codes, unlimited static QR codes and 90 days of analytics history.
- Wallet access: contact cards are free, while website-linked Wallet cards require Lite SME or Business.
Preview, publish and keep the site current
Before publishing, open the live page on more than one device and check that the order makes sense without relying on the editor. Remove every fictional sample item. Test each link, confirm that contact details are current, and check event dates, locations and times against the external source. An Events section can present these details, but it is not a registration, ticketing or scheduling system.
End with a clear next step, such as viewing an album, buying a ticket through an external provider, using your own appointment process or saving contact details. QREasy does not provide a native enquiry form, booking engine, checkout or appointment calendar. If a booking or enquiry service matters, connect to the external provider you already use and describe exactly what that service handles.
After publication, return to the editor when a project, date or link changes. Because QREasy hosts the website, routine updates can use the same address; visitors do not need a new address for new content. Review the page after each update, especially if you replace images, move sections or change an external link.
- Identity: your name or project name is visible and all sample content has been removed.
- Work: images load, project descriptions are accurate and the gallery remains focused.
- Dates: every event date, time, location and related external link is correct.
- Contact: email, phone, social links and Save Contact details work as intended.
- Mobile view: headings, images, buttons and links remain easy to use on a small screen.
Share through QR codes and Wallet
A QR code can point people directly to the published artist website. QREasy’s QR code generators can create either a static URL code or a dynamic code that uses a managed redirect. For a stable website address, choose a static URL QR: content served at that URL can change without changing or reprinting the code. If you later encode a different URL, create a new static QR.
Use a dynamic QR when the campaign needs a redirect destination that can be changed, subject to plan limits. Do not use dynamic QR merely because the website content may be edited; a hosted site does not require it for that reason. Test the QR with the devices and camera apps you expect visitors to use, because neither QR type guarantees scanning on every device.
Wallet provides a separate sharing route. Free includes contact Wallet cards for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, allowing recipients to review and save contact details. A website-linked Wallet card requires Lite SME or Business. Its QR encodes the website URL, so scanning opens the site in the phone browser rather than running the website inside Wallet. Google Wallet also includes a Visit Page link.
- Posters and flyers: use the same static QR while the published website address remains unchanged.
- Social profiles: link to the site when visitors should see the work and current dates together.
- Campaigns: use a dynamic QR when the redirect target needs to change within plan limits.
- Wallet: use a contact card for saving details; choose a paid plan for a card that opens the website.
