1. Plan a focused one-page portfolio
Begin with the path of a visitor rather than a list of features. At the top, identify your discipline and the kind of work you want to be hired for. Then move through selected projects, services, practical contact routes, and supporting details. This order helps a visitor understand your relevance before they leave.
Choose a small, coherent set of projects that demonstrates range without turning the page into an archive. For each project, prepare a short title, context, your role, and a concise result or outcome. Use ordinary text if the outcome is not numerical; do not invent a claim just to complete the format.
- Name your discipline and the type of work you want to attract.
- Select representative projects and prepare one sentence of context for each.
- Summarize each service in plain language, including what the visitor can ask you to do.
- Choose one primary contact route and one optional secondary route.
2. Choose the Portfolio template and replace its demo content
Open the one-page Portfolio template preview. The Portfolio template has one default page and is available on Free. You can compare it with the website template gallery, but keep the distinction clear: this guide uses the one-page Portfolio template, not a multi-page preview.
Treat every sample business, project, and result as a fictional demonstration, not a testimonial or proven outcome. In the editor, replace that material with your own introduction, work, and links. Keep the structure simple by placing the strongest material first and using section order to guide the visitor.
- Replace the fictional name, introduction, service descriptions, and project labels.
- Remove demonstration images that do not show your own work.
- Use clear project titles or short labels that explain the category.
- Check that the introduction explains what you do without relying on the demo context.
- Keep only sections that help a visitor assess your work.
3. Present services, projects, and work
Use ordinary Text sections for your introduction, services, project context, and past work. Add Gallery sections for photographs or other project images. Both are Free website sections, so a one-page portfolio can present information without using a paid section type.
A useful sequence is a short introduction, a services overview, then one gallery or project block after another. Combine a brief project explanation with its images instead of creating a long, repetitive page. If a designer, photographer, or consultant wants to describe what they do, an ordinary Text section is sufficient on Free.
- Add one Text section that introduces your discipline and working focus.
- Add another Text section for the services you want visitors to notice.
- Use Gallery sections for selected work, then explain each project nearby.
- Write headings that identify the project, client type, or subject where appropriate.
- Arrange the sections so your clearest work appears before supporting details.
4. Add contact routes, then publish
Use Contact for your details and Links for supported destinations such as email, phone, WhatsApp, a social profile, or an enquiry service already used by your business. An external form can appear only as a link to a separate provider you already use. QREasy does not include a native customer contact form or enquiry inbox, and an external booking or enquiry service follows its own rules.
Preview the section order and destinations, then publish. QREasy hosts the editable website, which requires an internet connection to access. When you later revise the copy or replace images, publish again: the same website address can show the updated content, so visitors and existing QR codes do not need a new destination for every edit.
- Add only contact routes you or your business can monitor.
- Link an external form only if it already delivers enquiries to your own inbox.
- Do not describe an external link as native QREasy scheduling, reservations, ordering, checkout, or payment handling.
- After each major edit, preview and publish again without changing the website address.
5. Share the site by QR and understand Wallet cards
A static URL QR contains a fixed URL, but the hosted content at that address can change without changing or reprinting the code. If the encoded URL itself changes, replace that static QR. A dynamic QR uses a managed redirect whose destination can change without reprinting, subject to plan limits. Use the QREasy QR code generators to create a code. You do not need a dynamic QR merely to edit a hosted website. Neither type guarantees scanning on every device.
QREasy also provides digital business cards for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. A Contact Wallet card is for reviewing and saving contact details. A website-linked Wallet card instead encodes the portfolio URL, so scanning opens the site in the phone browser rather than running it inside Wallet; Google Wallet also includes a Visit Page link. Website-linked Wallet cards require Lite SME or Business.
- Use a static URL QR for one fixed portfolio address that can keep the same code.
- Use a dynamic QR when a managed redirect is necessary and available within your plan limit.
- Choose a Contact Wallet card when the main goal is saving contact details.
- Choose a website-linked Wallet card when the main goal is opening the published portfolio.
6. Match the plan to publishing and sharing needs
Before choosing a plan, compare the QREasy plan details with your actual publishing and sharing needs. The limits below describe included website, page, QR, and analytics allowances.
Free publishing supports Restaurant menu, Links, Products, Gallery, Text, Contact, Social, Save Contact, and Events. Premium section types require Lite SME or Business to publish. These include music, video, channels, downloads, call-to-action sections, image sections, premium galleries, service grids, FAQs, publications, credibility strips, locations, statistics strips, before-and-after sections, profiles, team grids, testimonials, process sections, and technology lists. Editorial layouts and image sliders also require a paid plan. Premium sections can be drafted before upgrading, but not published on Free.
Contact Wallet cards are included on Free, while website-linked Wallet cards are included with Lite SME or Business. If your portfolio stays within one page and relies on Text, Gallery, Contact, and Links, the Free allowance may be sufficient. Upgrade when you need a paid section type, a website-linked Wallet card, or a larger plan allowance.
