What a business-card website does
A business-card website sits between a QR code and the information a visitor needs next. In QREasy, you select a template, add and arrange supported sections with text, images, services, contact details and links, then publish. The site receives its own web address, and that same address can display edited content after publication. Visitors need an internet connection.
When someone scans a website QR, the phone browser opens that URL; the website is not running inside a wallet. QREasy also supports Apple Wallet and Google Wallet journeys where recipients can review and save contact details or open a QREasy-created website. A contact Wallet card and the first one-page website are free, while a Wallet card linked to a website requires Lite SME or Business. Review the available QR code generators before deciding how the code should behave.
Business card template: what it includes
The Business card website template is a one-page template available on Free. Its starting blocks are Save Contact, Contact and Links. That makes the initial structure deliberately compact: a visitor can save or find contact details and reach selected links, but there is no prebuilt services area. Add Text, Gallery or another supported section only when the content needs it.
Previewing the template and choosing a different starting point are separate decisions. The broader website templates collection includes restaurant, beauty and event structures, while the Business card template remains a one-page card companion. Use its default blocks as the core, then add concise descriptions, relevant images and one clear next action. For a consultant, ordinary Text sections can explain services and past work, and Gallery can display photographs without requiring premium profile or service-grid blocks.
Four example structures for different businesses
Each example below uses fictional business content to show how a card visitor could move from context to action. These are layout demonstrations, not customer stories, measured results or guarantees.
- Restaurant — Start with a short Text introduction, add the free Restaurant menu section, and use Gallery for food and interior photos. Add Contact with phone, email or WhatsApp, plus a Link to an external booking provider if you already use one. QREasy opens that channel; the provider determines whether and how a reservation is confirmed.
- Beauty — Use Text for a concise service overview, Gallery for work photographs, and Links for an external booking page, phone, email or WhatsApp. Keep the card destination focused on a service menu and the next available action rather than trying to reproduce a full salon site.
- Consultant — Build a one-page Business card site with Text sections for a professional introduction, services, approach and selected past work, plus Gallery for relevant images. Save Contact, Contact and Links handle the next step. If scheduling, payment or delivery happens in another service you already use, link to it; QREasy does not implement those processes itself.
- Events — The Event template starts with editable Text, Links and Contact, not scheduling or registration software. Use Text for the date, place and concise description, and add Links to an external registration or ticketing page. For a one-page card companion, the Business card template can provide the same general contact-first pattern.
Static or dynamic QR: choose based on the destination
A static URL QR encodes one fixed destination. If that URL points to a hosted QREasy website, you can replace the page’s text, images or links and publish updates while the QR stays unchanged. The same principle applies when a PDF at the same address is replaced. Only changing the encoded URL itself requires a new static QR. A static URL QR is therefore different from a QR with static vCard data embedded directly.
A dynamic QR uses a managed redirect. You can change where it leads without reprinting the code, subject to the dynamic-code allowance in your plan. This helps when several printed cards should point to different destinations over time. It is unnecessary merely to edit a hosted website because that site already has a stable address. Neither static nor dynamic QR codes guarantee scanning on every device.
- Static URL QR: Best when the web address should remain fixed and the content at that address changes.
- Dynamic QR: Best when the redirect destination itself may change and your plan includes enough dynamic codes.
- Before printing: Test the code on the devices and apps your audience actually uses; no QR format can promise universal scanning.
Free sections and premium publishing options
QREasy separates sections that can be published on Free from more decorative or specialized blocks reserved for Lite SME and Business. A Free site can still communicate effectively: ordinary Text sections can describe services and past work, and Gallery can display photos. Free users may also draft premium sections, but they cannot publish them until they upgrade.
- Free sections: Restaurant menu, Links, Products, Gallery, Text, Contact, Social, Save Contact and Events.
- Premium section types: music, video, channels, downloads, cta, image, premium-gallery, service-grid, faq, publications, credibility-strip, locations, stats-strip, before-after, profile, team-grid, testimonials, process and technology-list. Editorial layouts and image sliders also require a paid plan.
- Template defaults matter: Business card starts with Save Contact, Contact and Links, while Event starts with Text, Links and Contact. Add service areas explicitly when required.
Compare plans and create the website
QREasy plans determine how many sites, pages and dynamic QR codes you can use. Static QR codes are unlimited across the listed plans, while analytics history differs by tier. Free includes contact Wallet cards; Lite SME and Business include Wallet cards linked to a website.
To create the card site, open the Business card creator, keep the one-page structure, add only sections that support the visitor’s next action, and publish. Replace all demonstration content with accurate business information. Then test the public address and QR on the devices you expect visitors to use, with internet available. For a more detailed walkthrough, see the guide to a simple Business card contact website.
Before printing large batches, decide whether the URL or its destination may change. If only the page content changes, retain the same static QR; if the destination must be redirected later, create a dynamic code within the plan allowance. This small decision keeps card distribution simple and avoids reprinting.
