What a Microsite Is and What It Is Not
In plain terms, a microsite is a focused, compact web presence. It gives a customer a short path from a scan or shared link to useful business information: what the business offers, how to see examples, and how to make contact. One page is common, but the defining idea is deliberate scope rather than a fixed technical standard.
A broader business website may contain many pages, detailed service information, locations, resources and other sections. A microsite usually concentrates on a single purpose, such as introducing a consultancy, highlighting a restaurant, presenting a beauty business or supporting one campaign. It can still be a complete browser-based site; smaller does not mean it is only a link or a document.
A digital business card serves a different job. It is built for exchanging or saving contact details, while a microsite lets someone browse arranged content, images and links. QREasy supports Apple Wallet and Google Wallet through its digital business card creator. A contact card can save details, whereas a website-linked Wallet card opens a QREasy website in the browser.
What You Can Build and Publish with QREasy
QREasy includes a small website builder, so the publishing flow is practical: choose a template, add supported sections, enter text and links, upload images, arrange the page and publish. The finished site is hosted by QREasy and needs an internet connection to open. Editing and publishing again can keep the same website address while its visible content changes.
Template choice sets the starting point, not every possible section. A guide to choosing a small business template can help you compare layouts before editing. After publication, visitors reach the hosted site through its address, whether they arrive from a QR code, a shared link or a Wallet Visit Page link.
Free and premium sections are not interchangeable in terms of publishing access. Free websites can describe services and past work in ordinary Text sections and show photographs in a Gallery. Those basics are enough for many one-page introductions, but a named premium block may still require an upgrade before it can appear publicly.
- Free sections include Restaurant menu, Links, Products, Gallery, Text, Contact, Social, Save Contact and Events.
- The premium section types are music, video, channels, downloads, cta, image, premium-gallery, service-grid, faq, publications, credibility-strip, locations, stats-strip, before-after, profile, team-grid, testimonials, process and technology-list.
- Editorial layouts and image sliders also require Lite SME or Business. You may draft a premium section before upgrading, but cannot publish it on the Free plan.
How a QR Code Opens the Microsite
For a static URL QR code, the code contains a fixed URL. The address can continue to show a hosted QREasy webpage even when the page content changes; changing the encoded URL itself means creating a new static code. The same principle can apply when a PDF at that address is replaced.
Dynamic QR uses a managed redirect, so its destination can change without reprinting, subject to plan limits. A hosted website does not require a dynamic QR merely because its content is edited. Static URL QR should not be confused with embedded static vCard data: one points to a web address, while embedded vCard data is a separate contact format. Neither QR type guarantees scanning on every device.
To create a code, use the QREasy QR code generators, then test the destination and scan path on the devices your customers are likely to use. A QR attached to a website-linked Wallet card encodes the website URL and opens it through the phone browser; it does not run the website inside Wallet. Google Wallet also includes a Visit Page link, and no mandatory card-review step is required before opening the website.
Templates, Contact Options and Enquiry Limits
Restaurant and beauty templates use phone, email, WhatsApp or external booking links for enquiries. These buttons open the relevant external channel, so a visitor can choose a method rather than complete a form built into the microsite. Keep the contact details current and choose links that lead to services you actually use.
Template defaults should not be mistaken for built-in business systems. The business-card template starts with Save Contact, Contact and Links, not a prebuilt services area. The Event template starts with Text, Links and Contact, not scheduling or registration. For a consultant profile, you can add ordinary Text and Gallery sections; the business card website template guide shows a practical contact-site approach.
QREasy does not provide a native customer contact form or enquiry submission inbox. An external form is available only as a link to a separate provider already used by the business. A phone, email or WhatsApp message is an enquiry, not a confirmed reservation. An external booking provider may confirm bookings under its own rules, but QREasy does not implement native scheduling, availability, automated confirmations, inventory, ordering, checkout, payment processing or a property CRM.
- Restaurant and beauty enquiries: use the template's phone, email, WhatsApp or external booking-link actions.
- Consultant services: describe them in ordinary Text sections and show past work in Gallery sections.
- Independent services: a business may offer scheduling, payment or other processes through its own tools.
Free and Paid Plan Considerations
The Free plan is enough to test the core workflow: create one website with up to one page, publish supported free sections and use unlimited static QR codes. It includes one dynamic QR code and seven days of analytics history. Contact Wallet cards are included, but a Wallet card linked to a QREasy website requires Lite SME or Business.
Choose the paid tier when you need more websites, pages, dynamic codes, longer analytics history or website-linked Wallet cards. The paid plans also unlock the premium section types listed earlier. Use the QREasy plans comparison to check the current limits and prices before choosing.
A practical selection rule is simple: start Free for one focused page; use Lite SME for a small portfolio of sites; consider Business for a larger set. Then build from the template, publish the exact content your customers need, and test both the page and QR journey before distributing the code.
- Free: EUR 0.00 monthly or annually; one website, up to one page, one dynamic QR code, unlimited static QR codes, and seven days of analytics history. Contact Wallet cards are included; website-linked Wallet cards are not.
- Lite SME: EUR 2.99 monthly or EUR 28.70 annually; three websites, up to four pages each, 50 dynamic QR codes, unlimited static QR codes, and 90 days of analytics history. Website-linked Wallet cards are included.
- Business: EUR 9.99 monthly or EUR 95.90 annually; 33 websites, up to 10 pages each, 357 dynamic QR codes, unlimited static QR codes, and 90 days of analytics history. Website-linked Wallet cards are included.
