Plan the page around one guest journey
Start by deciding what a guest should do after finding the page. Most restaurant pages need four things: a menu, a location, current hours and a clear contact or booking action. Put the most time-sensitive option first, such as Call, WhatsApp or Book, and keep the page easy to scan on a phone.
Collect the exact phone number, email address, WhatsApp number, address, service hours and booking-page address before editing. Use only channels the team can monitor. If bookings run through another provider, use that provider's existing link; QREasy will open it as an external destination rather than copying its reservation process.
- Write the opening days and the time zone beside the hours, especially if guests may travel.
- Use one official phone number and one monitored email address to avoid conflicting routes.
- Label each action for its destination: Call, Email, WhatsApp or Book with our provider.
- Remove seasonal or outdated details rather than leaving competing versions on the page.
Start from the Simple restaurant template
QREasy's Simple restaurant template is a one-page starting point for sharing a menu, location and hours. Preview the Simple restaurant template before you begin, then create the site from the restaurant option. The template is available on Free, so the core page does not require a paid plan.
When editing, use supported sections such as Restaurant menu, Text, Gallery, Contact and Links. Add only what supports the guest journey; remove irrelevant sample blocks and replace fictional sample content with your own. For more layout ideas, compare the available website templates; the restaurant template itself remains a one-page site.
Use the small restaurant website template guide to decide which details deserve space. If you want a Wallet card that opens the website, that connected option requires Lite SME or Business, so check the current QREasy plans.
- Add a short Text section for service type, special opening information or arrival notes.
- Use Gallery for food and interior photos, but keep descriptive text in a Text section.
- Check every section on a phone before publishing; clear labels matter more than decoration.
- Do not rely on premium layouts or sliders unless your plan allows publishing them.
Connect phone, email, WhatsApp and booking links
A restaurant contact page can send guests into communication channels that already exist. In a Contact or Links section, add the supported actions for your phone number, email address, WhatsApp number or external booking provider. Each action opens the relevant external channel on the guest's device.
Be precise in the wording. A phone, email or WhatsApp action lets a guest start a conversation, but it does not create a confirmed reservation by itself. A link to an external booking provider may support confirmations according to that provider's own rules. QREasy does not supply the booking calendar, availability, confirmation workflow or reservation database.
QREasy does not include a native contact form, enquiry submission inbox or reservation system. If the restaurant already uses a separate form, describe it as a link to that provider and test the handoff. Avoid labels that suggest messages are stored inside the QREasy page.
- Phone: link the restaurant's public number and label it as a call or enquiry option.
- Email: use a monitored address and name the topic, such as Reservations or Event enquiries.
- WhatsApp: confirm that the number is active and that the team expects guest messages there.
- Booking: link the provider already used by the restaurant and keep its opening hours accurate.
Publish and keep one stable website address
After editing, preview the full page and publish it through QREasy. Use the website address assigned to the published site as the destination for your QR code and any marketing that points to the page. Public access to the hosted website requires an internet connection.
The important advantage is that the website address can remain the same while its content changes. Update tomorrow's hours, replace a menu image or revise the booking link at that address rather than creating a new page for each edit. Guests continue to use the same location they saved or scanned.
- Replace all sample business names, addresses, hours and images before publishing.
- Open the published page in a private browser window and check every contact action.
- Test the booking link separately for the correct date, party size and location.
- Record the published URL in your menu, social profiles, receipts or other materials.
- Recheck these items after every hours, menu or booking-link change.
Create a static URL QR code for the page
A static URL QR stores one fixed web address. Open the QREasy QR code generators, choose the static URL option and enter the exact published address of the restaurant page. The QR then directs scanning devices to that URL in the phone browser; it is not a Wallet card and does not embed contact details as static vCard data.
Because the destination is a hosted page, you can update the menu, hours, images or contact links without changing or reprinting the QR. Only a change to the encoded URL requires a new static QR. A dynamic QR with a managed redirect is not necessary merely because the page content will be edited.
No scanner can be guaranteed to work on every device, so test the printed code with several phones and under the lighting conditions guests will actually encounter. Keep the printed area clean and unobstructed, and provide the plain website address as a backup where appropriate.
- Copy the published URL carefully; an extra slash or character can send guests elsewhere.
- Use a test scan before ordering printed table tents, menus or stickers.
- Label the QR by destination, such as View our menu and contact details, rather than claiming it reserves a table.
Set expectations for enquiries and reservations
Once the page is live, make the boundaries visible to both staff and guests. Calling, emailing or messaging starts an enquiry, while an external booking provider handles any reservation under its own policies. The QREasy website itself is not an enquiry inbox, reservation ledger or customer relationship system.
Maintain a simple routine: one person checks each enabled channel, confirms opening hours are current and reviews the page after menu or schedule changes. If a booking provider handles reservations, keep its link prominent but give the restaurant's direct contact route for questions that the provider does not cover.
- Use Book now only when the linked provider offers a clear booking flow.
- Use Ask about a table for a contact route that does not confirm availability.
- Do not promise automatic confirmations, live availability, ordering, payments or follow-up from QREasy.
- Update temporary closures, holiday hours and changed phone numbers promptly.
