Choose an Event template or compose the page
Open the template library and choose the Event template when its layout suits the event. It begins with editable Text, Links and Contact sections. These are placeholders, not hidden scheduling tools: the template does not create attendee lists, booking calendars, automated confirmations or a registration database.
Alternatively, start with another compatible small-website template and compose the page. Add an Events section for the listing, then arrange Text, Links, Contact and Gallery sections for visitors. Put the event name, date, location and main response route first, with supporting details later.
For another perspective, follow How to Create an Event Website Template with QREasy. Note which sections are template defaults and which ones you add.
- Use the Event template for a ready-made starting structure.
- Add Events, Text, Links, Contact and Gallery where they fit.
- Move the essential facts ahead of supporting information.
Present the information guests need
Use Text to explain what the event is for, who it suits, what happens, what to bring and whether admission is free or paid. Use Gallery for photographs of the venue, speakers, products or activities. If access is paid, state the price accurately, but do not imply that the website handles checkout or payment.
Use Contact for the phone number, email address and other details the business wants to publish. Use Links for a schedule, organiser information, map or other destination. Give each link a specific label so guests know whether it opens a timetable, an external booking page or a separate registration form.
- State the date, time, location and accessibility details in text.
- Choose clear photographs that show the actual event or venue.
- Add the organiser’s contact details to the Contact section.
- Give each link a descriptive label rather than a vague one.
Connect an external booking or registration service
For bookings or registrations handled elsewhere, place the provider’s URL in a Links section and label it accurately. Tapping it opens the external channel. A phone, email or WhatsApp address can invite an enquiry, but it does not itself confirm a reservation. A provider that supports reservations may confirm them under its own rules.
If a separate form is required, link to the provider already used by the business; QREasy has no verified native customer form or enquiry inbox. Do not promise appointment availability, automatic confirmations, inventory control or payment processing through QREasy. A business may still offer these services through its own process, so describe that external provider accurately.
- Use Links for booking, registration or ticketing pages hosted elsewhere.
- Name the destination, such as reserve tickets or register attendees.
- Keep the provider’s terms and contact route visible.
- Do not call an external link a native QREasy enquiry form.
Publish the site and keep the same address
Before publishing, check the event name, dates, times, location, contact details and link destinations. Publish the completed website, then open its address on a phone with internet access. This confirms that information is present and external links lead to the intended services.
After publication, edit the Text, Gallery, Contact and Links sections when details change, then publish the update. The same address can display revised content, so a static URL QR need not be reprinted when copy or images change. If the website address changes, a static QR encoded with the old URL will not follow it.
- Keep one canonical event address for printed materials.
- Update time and location details before the event.
- Recheck external booking links whenever the provider changes.
- Create a new static QR if the encoded website address changes.
Create a QR code and understand how it opens
Open QREasy QR code generators and choose the option suited to a website URL. A static URL QR contains a fixed destination. Because the hosted page can change at the same address, you can update event information without changing or reprinting that code. Editing content alone does not require a dynamic QR.
A dynamic QR uses a managed redirect whose destination can change without reprinting, subject to plan limits. It differs from a static QR with contact data embedded directly. When scanned, the website QR opens in the phone browser; the page is not running inside a Wallet. Neither QR type guarantees scanning on every device, so test on several phones.
If you also want a Wallet card, use the digital business card creator. Website-linked Wallet cards require Lite SME or Business. Their QR encodes the website URL and opens the site through the browser rather than inside the Wallet. Google Wallet also includes a Visit Page link.
- Use a static URL QR when the destination address stays fixed.
- Use a dynamic QR when you need a managed redirect.
- Do not confuse a static website URL with embedded vCard data.
- Test the final QR on multiple devices and in varied lighting.
Check plan limits before publication
Check section availability before relying on a design. Events, Text, Links, Contact and Gallery are free website sections. Premium sections may be drafted before upgrading but cannot be published on Free; editorial layouts and sliders also require Lite SME or Business. Do not confuse ordinary Text descriptions with a premium Service Grid.
Plan limits also affect a multi-event workflow. Free allows one website with up to one page, one dynamic QR and unlimited static QR codes, with seven days of analytics history. Lite SME allows three websites with up to four pages each, 50 dynamic QR codes, unlimited static QR codes and 90 days of analytics history. Business allows 33 websites with up to ten pages each, 357 dynamic QR codes, unlimited static QR codes and 90 days of analytics history.
Website-linked Wallet cards require Lite SME or Business, while contact-only Wallet cards are included with Free. Before publication, compare QREasy plans with your event pages, QR needs and linked cards. This helps avoid discovering that a premium section or linked card cannot be published after the page is finished.
- Confirm that every selected section can be published on the current plan.
- Count pages and dynamic QR codes before choosing a plan.
- Upgrade before publishing premium sections or linked Wallet cards.
- Keep QR capacity available for other campaigns and events.
