Choose the Event template and a suitable plan
Choose the Event template in QREasy and review its starting point before replacing anything. It begins with editable Text, Links, and Contact sections, not a dedicated services area, booking calendar, or registration system. If you are still deciding between layouts, this small-business template selection guide offers a useful comparison approach without changing the Event workflow.
Match the plan to the event’s scope and the extras you actually need. Free supports a first one-page website and free section types; Lite SME or Business is required for premium sections and Wallet cards linked to a website. Compare current allowances on the QREasy plans page before publishing complex layouts or maintaining several sites.
- Free: 1 website with up to 1 page, 1 dynamic QR, unlimited static QR codes, and 7 days of analytics history.
- Lite SME: 3 websites with up to 4 pages each, 50 dynamic QR codes, unlimited static codes, and 90 days of analytics.
- Business: 33 websites with up to 10 pages each, 357 dynamic QR codes, unlimited static codes, and 90 days of analytics.
Edit the starter Text, Links, and Contact sections
In the Text section, replace general wording with the event name, date, start and finish times, venue, audience, access information, and what guests should bring or do next. Use separate Text blocks for details that change independently, such as the programme and travel guidance. Write plain, specific sentences so visitors can scan the page quickly on a small screen.
In Links, give every external action a visible label that states its destination and purpose. Examples include Register with the event provider, Buy tickets on the ticketing service, Ask the organizer on WhatsApp, or Open directions. Link only to the provider you already use; QREasy displays the link, while the external service controls registration, payment, availability, and confirmation rules.
Use Contact for the phone number, email address, WhatsApp, or other supported contact details that the organizer can monitor. These choices open the relevant external app or channel. Do not describe the Contact section as a customer form or inbox: QREasy does not provide native enquiry submission, so no message is stored for you inside the website.
- Text: add essentials, schedule, location, access notes, and the next step.
- Links: use action-led labels such as Reserve seats, Register, or Get directions.
- Contact: verify each phone number, email address, WhatsApp contact, and external link before publication.
Add supported content and make the external workflow explicit
Add only sections that serve the event. Free options include Text, Links, Contact, Gallery, Events, Social, Products, Restaurant menu, and Save Contact. A Gallery can display photos, while ordinary Text can describe services or past work. Premium types—including music, video, FAQ, service grids, team layouts, testimonials, before-and-after views, and editorial image treatments—require Lite SME or Business to publish.
If attendees must reserve a place, register, pay, or receive an automatic confirmation, connect a separate external provider through Links. QREasy does not include native appointment scheduling, inventory, checkout, payment processing, registration, automated confirmations, or a property CRM. The external provider may offer those functions under its own rules, but they are not QREasy features.
- Gallery: add clear photographs that show the venue, speakers, activities, or previous events.
- Events: add this free section yourself and use it for relevant dated entries for the event.
- External link: place the booking or form action near the event details and repeat it where genuinely useful.
- Free plan: premium sections can be drafted, but they cannot be published until you upgrade.
Publish the site and keep updates at the same address
Preview every section on desktop and phone, check line breaks and button labels, and follow the publish flow when the content is ready. QREasy hosts the small website, and visitors need an internet connection to open it. Test the booking, contact, and direction links as an attendee would, rather than relying only on the editor view.
After publication, keep using the same website address for corrections, schedule changes, and replacement photographs. The address can show updated content without creating a new site. This makes a static QR especially practical when the URL stays fixed: change the page behind it rather than reprinting materials unnecessarily.
- Check the title, date, time zone, venue, and organizer contact details.
- Open each external link in a private browser window to test the handoff.
- Publish again after edits, then reload the public address on a phone.
- Record the final URL in the QR tool and in event materials.
Choose between static and dynamic QR codes, then test
A static URL QR encodes a fixed address. It is suitable when the event page will remain at that URL, even if its text, images, or links change later. You can replace the hosted page or a PDF at the same URL without changing or reprinting that QR. Only changing the encoded URL requires a new static QR.
A dynamic QR uses a managed redirect, so its destination can be changed without reprinting the code, subject to plan limits. Use it when you need to redirect one printed code to different destinations over time. Neither static nor dynamic QR guarantees scanning on every device, and an embedded static vCard is different from a QR that opens a URL.
Create and test the code with the QREasy QR code generators. If you also use a Wallet card, a website-linked card requires Lite SME or Business; scanning its QR opens the site in the phone browser rather than running the site inside Wallet. The digital business card creator can help you prepare contact details for supported Wallet journeys.
- Static QR: use for a stable public URL and ordinary content updates at that address.
- Dynamic QR: use for a managed redirect and confirm the plan allows the intended workflow.
- Phone test: scan the final code, open the site, and verify every important action.
